Quick answer

Measure the flat area you want to cover, leave a small clearance around the edge, and the calculator gives the largest sticker that fits in your chosen shape. It works in inches, centimetres and millimetres (1 inch = 25.4 mm).

Space kept free on every side (about 3 mm is a common start)

Whether the artwork stays readable at this size depends on the design: check the proof we send before printing.

Wrapping round a bottle instead? Use the bottle label calculator.

How it works

  1. 1Measure the flat area where the sticker will sit (width and height). Avoid curves, seams and folds.
  2. 2Choose the shape and the clearance to keep free on every side. A few millimetres is a common starting point on flat surfaces; leave more on curved or textured ones.
  3. 3Read the largest size that fits, then open the price calculator with that size already filled in.

What to keep in mind

  • This gives the largest size that physically fits. Whether the artwork is easy to read at that size depends on the design and its text, which the calculator cannot judge. Always check a proof.
  • Only flat areas are handled. For a sticker that wraps round a bottle use the bottle label calculator.

Common questions

On a flat, smooth surface a few millimetres (about 1/8 inch) keeps the edge clear of folds and corners. Leave more on curved, rough or edge-prone surfaces. It is guidance, not a rule.
