A self-locking folding card box is a flat printed card sheet that folds into a box and locks shut without glue or tape. It suits light products such as jewellery, small gifts and accessories.
Our three self-lock styles
- Self-Lock Petal Box: inside sizes 2.25 × 2.25 × 1.25, 2.75 × 2.75 × 1.5 and 3.25 × 3.25 × 1.75 inches.
- Self-Lock Necklace Box: 4 × 4 × 0.75, 5 × 4.5 × 1 and 6 × 5 × 1 inches, a shallow, flat shape.
- Self-Lock Mailer Gift-Set Box: 5 × 5 × 1.5, 6.5 × 5.5 × 1.75 and 8 × 6 × 2 inches, for sets and larger gifts.

Measure your product first
Measure the length, width and depth of what goes inside and add a little room on each side so it slides in. The box size estimator at Box Size & Template Estimator finds the smallest catalogue box that fits, for all styles or just one. It gives catalogue sizes only; very soft, thick or padded items may need a larger box.
Preparing artwork
Box artwork is drawn on a flat template. For the sizes where we have measured our template, the estimator shows an approximate flat footprint, for reference only: ask us for the template file before you design, and keep text and logos away from fold lines. What they suit, and what they do not
Folding card boxes suit light products. They are not designed to carry heavy items, and they are not a substitute for a shipping carton: if you post parcels, put the box inside a mailer.
