On a 12 × 18 inch sheet with 0.125 inch spacing, a 2 × 2 inch sticker gives 40 pieces and a 4 × 3 inch sticker gives 12. Those counts are the starting point for our price list, because the more pieces fit on a sheet, the lower the cost per piece.

Pieces per sheet at common sizes

  • 1 × 1 inch: 160 pieces
  • 2 × 2 inch: 40 pieces
  • 3 × 2 inch: 25 pieces
  • 4 × 2 inch: 20 pieces
  • 4 × 3 inch: 12 pieces
  • 5 × 3 inch: 9 pieces
  • 6 × 4 inch: 4 pieces

These counts use our price-list layout: a 12 × 18 inch area, 0.125 inch between stickers and one orientation. A different layout can sometimes fit more, which is why the sheet yield calculator at 12 × 18 Sheet Yield Calculator shows both orientations.

What changes the count

  • Spacing: the gap between stickers is needed for cutting. A wider gap means fewer pieces.
  • Bleed: artwork that runs to the edge needs a little extra on each side. Adding bleed makes each piece take more room.
  • Rotation: a 4 × 3 sticker can lie landscape or portrait. Trying both can change how many fit.
  • Margins: the real print area can be smaller than the paper, so check the usable area before planning.

Why this matters for price

A job needs enough sheets to make your quantity, so 500 stickers of 2 × 2 inch need 13 sheets at 40 per sheet, while 500 stickers of 4 × 3 inch need 42 sheets at 12 per sheet. That is why larger stickers cost more per piece. The sticker price calculator at Sticker Price Calculator shows the exact price for your size and quantity.
